“…In planning a new picture, we don’t think of grown-ups, and we don’t think of children, but just of that fine, clean, unspoiled spot deep down in every one of us that maybe the world has made us forget and that maybe our pictures can help recall.” Walt Disney, 1938
My goal in life is not to create the best work that’s ever been seen. How can any single person define what is the best? No, my mission is much more simplistic; and as a result, it is much more powerful. I know that I will have done my job to the greatest potential when a parent smiles and their child laughs. I will know that I have done my job when audiences are affected by my work as deeply as I have been affected by the work and innovation of current professionals.
I know that I will have done my job when I have ENTERTAINED.
